With my Paperback series, I want to show that art can come from anywhere, even from things we usually throw away. I work with used cardboard and packaging, each with its own little history. Those marks, creases, and textures inspire me – they tell stories before I even put a brush to them. There’s something really special about turning the ordinary into something extraordinary, something that makes people think twice about the materials around them.
